One of the most beneficial lessons you can teach to anyone is that what they do makes a difference. Their actions are meaningful and have an impact - and if they have intentions, they can create purposeful and valuable change.
The message behind programming, making, and leaving LeafLets is that it is just that easy to make a difference, to have an impact, to share ideas, and make that change. Our educational package, which includes LeafLet Kits and a lesson plan, is crafted to drive home that lesson to kids (and even adults) of all ages. Small, easily implemented actions have an impact, and so do you as someone who chooses to carry out those actions. Learning something new means you can learn something more. Learning something new means you can learn anything you put your mind to. When it starts out as easy and it has a great impact, it is quite empowering.
We work to offer free LeafLet Kits to classrooms, families, makerspaces, museums, libraries, and more, coupled with a brief lesson about NFC tags, sustainable development, and, importantly, how to find common value between conflicting mindsets. After all, changing our minds is the first step to changing the world intentionally.
Kids have the option of choosing which kind of page they want to program their NFC tag to link to. Although all the pages will tap into the same value: the importance of sustainable development, different pages have different messages to appeal to different attitudes and different projects which appeal to different lifestyles.
While the lesson holds the most value (it's just that easy to make a difference!), the act of creating and spreading a message and action plans for projects can echo that lesson onwards and onto others. We're honored to have a small part in enabling others to know they can change the world - one program at a time.
